Catbird, a jewelry shop in Williamsburg, has lovely little gift guides–including one for new moms. My favorite are the delicate little alphabet rings. A good friend is about to (any moment now) have baby #3; wouldn’t it be sweet to wear three stacked rings, one with each child’s initial? [images via catbird]

Many of you have asked about our registry, and the items we have found most valuable thus far. So with the giant caveat that we’re only a few months in on this whole “Oh my goodness, we have a son!” bit, here’s my list… Crib: Remember the closet that became the nursery? Only this crib […]

No, not that kind of “playing doctor.” With his dad being a urologist, I’m of course drawn to doctor kits for Hudson. This wooden one seems especially like an especially nice one to start with (at least until he’s old enough for “Operation”). Opening Ceremony just added retail for kids! Duds by brands like Jean Paul Gautier seem a little decadent for our bebe, but you gotta know I love the French Sailor shirts. And there are some really cool things for gifting. [Via Style Revue]

Did you happen to see this post over on Odeedoh about Finland’s national gift to new moms? Can you imagine? Hudson received all kinds of wonderful things celebrating his arrival: a ton of cute clothes, blankets knitted with love, and some toys that he is just now starting to notice. But there were also a […]

I really love Maptote’s onesies, with city-specific designs. But now I’ve got my eye on their bandanas, too. Besides camouflaging my messy hair, they’d make a rockin’ little drool-catcher! [cute kiddo pic from Maebird via Hank and Lucy]

Did any of you get your silhouette cut by the artist on Disneyland’s Main Street when you were a child? What a treasure! Is the shop still there? Until we can go and see, on my wish list for Hudson: a custom-made silhouette by Love & Victory.

When our baby announcements arrived the other day, I could hardly wait to tear into the box. It felt a little like Christmas! Of course I love anything with Hudson’s image, but I am so happy with how these turned out–they’re beautiful! We couldn’t wait to send them out. I even mailed one to […]
