Did any of you get your silhouette cut by the artist on Disneyland’s Main Street when you were a child? What a treasure! Is the shop still there? Until we can go and see, on my wish list for Hudson: a custom-made silhouette by Love & Victory.

Yes! I get one of each of my kids during our annual Disneyland trip. It’s on Main Street. We always finish the day off with corn dogs and apple slices from the cart for dinner and getting the silhouettes. Such a great souvenir and really quite inexpensive by Disney standards.
So glad to know it’s still there!
Oh gosh, I had completely forgotten about that! YES! I loved mine.
what a darling blog! i love it – and GREAT layout!
These are super easy to make – I made one for my niece as a 1st birthday gift. I just took a picture of her profile, blew it up to the size I wanted, cut it out as a template and used it to trace an outline I cut out of art paper and mounted in a shadowbox.
It’s fun making your own because you can use whatever paper you want, and you can make them whenever you want.
I agree with making your own! I think Nie Nie had a guide on how to do it, but basically you just take a side profile picture and trace. Seems so easy! It would be such a lovely gift to give to new moms too!
