Last weekend (two weeks) really felt like a turning point: since then, Hudson and I have been spending lots of time outside the house. We’ve been shopping, going to breakfast, eating in the park (mostly him)… and we even went to a movie last Sunday! But yesterday we walked all the way over to Tribeca and back to meet up with some friends at the Pier 25 playground. As soon as I arrived, I realized it was virtually my first time at a playground in NY! When you don’t have kids, it feels vaguely inappropriate to linger too long looking into playgrounds, so it was even nice just sitting and admiring all of the parents and children playing on the pier. (Next time I’ll have to take some photos of the setting–it’s amazing. And the Tribeca parents? Also stunning.) Hudson was a dreamboat the entire time we were there–especially nice since the morning had been filled with painful, gassy cries that were breaking my heart–and seemed to enjoy the outing as much as I did. And Aron showed up toward the end of the afternoon with iced coffees for all!
Congratulations to Emily and her three-month-old, comment #38, who were selected by random.org to win the shoes. Thank you to everyone who entered.
