Week 36

by Ashley on July 5, 2011

Today we start my 37th week, which is the week the baby is considered full term. I can’t say how fortunate I feel that he seems to be doing so well, and has sat tight all these weeks without giving us any scares. (Talk to me again if I’m still waiting to meet him at 42 weeks, however, and I’m sure I’ll be whistling a slightly different tune…) We’re still checking a few things off of the to-do list, but I’m happy to say we may have finally settled on a name. I think we’ve known for a while, but neither of us had out-and-out committed. But yesterday, Aron sent me a note reserving the baby’s email account!

By the way, I finally got up the nerve to wear shorts this weekend! And I’m so glad: it was such a relief on this very warm holiday weekend! Even more of a relief? Swimming!  We went to the beach yesterday. Hope you had a happy Fourth of July!

I am all about the shorts and bikinis in this weather—-even if I feel I’m not my most svelte (and if I was there would be a problem: we’re nine months pregnant!) no one looks at anything but the belly:) hope you had a great one too. can’t wait to hear the name.

I wore a bikini to the beach and thought it was hilarious when I kept overhearing conversations about people’s pregnant friends! (Hmmm… I wonder what got them on that topic!) Hope you’re well, Melanie!

Tired of wearing skirts everyday, I recently purchased a pair of Old Navy denim maternity shorts, which fit surprisingly well! I tend to avoid shorts in general, but desperate times call for desperate measures!

Just a hint, what’s the first letter of our soon to be grandson?
