Giveaway! ITZBEEN Pocket Nanny [closed]

by Ashley on June 28, 2011

Our neighbors just had a baby–a sweet, beautiful little boy! We were over visiting recently and they were expressing that one of their challenges was keeping track of all of his various bodily functions, his sleep patterns and feedings.

To help make this easier, one can purchase baby-log apps for a smartphone, or keepsake books with pages for baby logs, but I keep hearing recommendations for the ITZBEEN Timer. It basically keeps track of how long it has been since your baby last slept, ate, or was changed–with the press of a button. There are four timer buttons with little icons; after each interval of care, you press a button to reset the timer. There’s also a left/right breastfeeding reminder, a nightlight, and an alarm.

One can imagine how (especially in a fog of sleep deprivation) it would be handy to know whether–when the baby is fussy–it has been one hour or two since he or she was last fed with just a glance at the timer. It seems super handy!

And the folks at ITZBEEN have been kind enough to offer one to a baby mine reader! To enter to win one of their baby care timers, please leave a comment below by tomorrow night, Wednesday, 11:59 p.m. The winner will be chosen at random and announced here on Thursday. Be sure to leave me a way to get in touch with you, should you win. (You’ll also get to choose a color: blue, green, or pink!)

Sorry, U.S. shipping addresses only. Good luck!

What a great gadget! 🙂

Paige June 28, 2011 at 8:56 am

That is awesome. We are expecting and this would be a wonderful gadget to own. Thanks for the giveaway.

Alli June 28, 2011 at 9:06 am

Great giveaway, Ashley! Sure beats a paper notebook that would likely get splattered and smudged with breast milk.

Ana June 28, 2011 at 9:29 am

Great giveaway! I recommend you all enter because this is amazing.

Christen June 28, 2011 at 9:48 am

This would be a very handy gadget to have with my baby on the way in January.

jodi June 28, 2011 at 10:06 am

ooh! excellent! i could definitely use that come december.

Meghann June 28, 2011 at 10:10 am

My best friend is having her first baby in January and I’d love to be able to give this to her!

Audrey June 28, 2011 at 10:17 am

How cool ~ with my daughter, I have recollections of paper everywhere with all kinds of notes and times, etc (and, like Alli said, smudged with breast milk, among other things!). I’m expecting another daughter any day now and I’d love to have a gadget such as this one. It HAS to be easier!!!

Lynessa June 28, 2011 at 10:22 am

Oooh! This would be perfect for my slightly absent minded sister who is expecting!

Jessica V June 28, 2011 at 10:32 am

Baby V is making his or her debut the end of this year and as first time parents (and a husband who loves gagets) this would be perfect to help ease the new parent concerns!

Erin D. June 28, 2011 at 10:34 am
emily June 28, 2011 at 10:49 am

oooh. now that would be helpful!

Clare June 28, 2011 at 10:53 am

The left and right switch is a great idea; it used to drive me crazy that I couldn’t remember which side I’d last fed on. I used a little silly band on my wrist and kept swapping it over, although I would always forget to do that so maybe nothing helps in the end except writing it down immediately! I would probably keep forgetting to flip the switch on here!

What a great idea! We just found out we are expecting (yay!) and winning this super cool gadget would be a real treat!

Ashley W June 28, 2011 at 5:17 pm

Awesome giveaway! I know of at least five lovely pregnant ladies (including myself) who would love to have this! Thanks for letting me play!

By the way, Ashley, you look fabulous! Crazy to think in a few short weeks you and Aron will be greeting your little man!

Ruth June 28, 2011 at 7:38 pm

This gadget sounds so helpful. Thanks so much for the great giveaway, Ashley!

Beth June 28, 2011 at 7:59 pm

Seriously? This is how I know I must be getting old – I think this is crazy! The inventor of this gadget, which go-zillions of babies grew happily into adulthood without, is laughing all the way to the bank courtesy of contemporary need for a gadget for basic human interaction. Fussy baby? All parents eventually figure out the cry and what it means. Sometimes it means “I am miserable for no good reason at all” – is there a button to record that? The whole feeding and diapering thing is far more art than science.

Even though I am old and out of touch with this stuff (my baby is a high school senior) I enjoy reading your blogs (especially the travel information!) and wish you all the best for a healthy delivery and wonderful new life with your growing family.

Cookie June 28, 2011 at 10:16 pm
