A few months, we went to Giggle to get some help with our registry. We were being helped by a really nice guy who was spending a ton of time with us–having Aron try on carriers, taking us through all of their stroller options, and telling us about their apartment-sized cribs–and we were loving it! Then came the breastfeeding section. He was doing pretty well at first, but suddenly got a bit more sheepish: “well these are the br… the pumps for the milk.” “Yes,” we said, “and what is the difference between the two?” (They carried Medela and Simplisse.) “Well, it all depends on the size of your br… your… Hang on, let me get one of the other sales associates.” We chuckled as he left, but the woman he brought back was super helpful and, having used both systems herself, recommended Simplisse as she felt their softer silicon cups were more flexible and thus more comfortable. And onto our registry it went.
So I was so excited when Simplisse contacted me and offered to give away one of their Electric pumps to a lucky reader! (It’s a $300 value!) Some details: The pump’s compression technology is designed to help minimize tugging and pinching and gently elicit milk expression and the inner and outer Super-Soft BabyFace flexible breastcups work together to mimic baby’s tongue and suckling motions to encourage let-down. It’s dishwasher safe and BPA Free, and includes four collection bottles, a tote Bag, an insulated cooler with 2 ice gel packs, and a wet storage bag.
To enter and win one of their double electric pumps, leave a comment below by Thursday 11:59 p.m. The winner will be chosen at random and announced here Friday. Be sure to leave me a way to get in touch with you, should you win. Sorry, U.S. shipping addresses only.
[Update: Congratulations, Dana! Comment #58 was selected using Random.org; I’ll be contacting you via email. Thank you, everyone, for entering–it was so nice to hear from so many expectant moms and generous friends of expectant moms!]
