Baby shower idea: bib decorating

by Ashley on May 25, 2011

I’m always on the lookout for great baby shower activities that would be appropriate for a co-ed shower. It’s not an easy task: most men haven’t grown-up expecting to play along with “Guess the size of the bump” or “Never say baby”* (let alone expecting to ooh and aah at cute presents). But I really like the idea of a co-ed baby shower–and have been to many in recent years. After all, our little guy will be welcomed into Aron’s arms as much as mine.

My friend threw a shower for Aron and I and had a great activity that was low-key, low-embarrassment, and a lot of fun: she set up a bib-decorating station! She set out paints and brushes along with soft white bibs from Babies-R-Us and invited everyone to make a design. It was amazing to see what people came up with! (Isn’t Aron’s burger sweet?)

*P.S. Aron thought the game of not-saying-baby was a drinking game (“what, you take a shot every time someone says ‘baby’?”) which, on second thought, would make that a pretty fun activity, too.

What a sweet idea! Love this one. And I laughed out loud at Aron’s comment about making it a drinking game, I think he’s on to something there.

What did you use to decorate the bibs? I love the idea

What type of paint was it that you used? It looks like it went on the bibs really well. June 6, 2014 at 1:57 am

The bib decorating is a great idea. Did you use velcro as a closure for the bibs?

What kind of supplies do you need for bib decorating?
